mommy, daddy and i have waited a very long time for this moment to come. a VERY long time. but we finally did it. after about 7 months of not using my button and a strong few months of me eating well and slowly but surely gaining weight..........we finally had my button removed. it has not been all rainbows and ice cream to say the least. after having it removed for about 30 days, it was still leaking periodically and it was recommended that we have it surgically closed because it would not close on it's own. so, this past monday, we did just that. i was so excited to be going to the "doctors" and to the "hospital" (as you can tell from my "before surgery" pics):
changing the channel
playing with gloves
going for a ride (the nurses were so nice and let me play wherever i wanted)
"what you want? one milkshake or two milkshakes?"
and then came recovery. it was not an easy recovery to say the least. we were in there a while and i made mommy and daddy carry me all over the recovery room. we must've done over 100 laps. good news is, i did a great job of drinking juice.
tuesday in the hospital was SO boring. i made mommy and daddy take me to the play room like, 6 times. i played on the WII, colored, played with this dollhouse, and even made daddy a necklace (he loves it)
the whole time, i really just wanted this stupid IV taken out of my hand. it was such a pain!
chillin', wating to go home
yeah, get this thing off of me......STAT!!!!
