had a good weekend with mommy and daddy even though most of it was spent with me coughing my head off and blowing my nose. i had a bit of a cold but think i am all better now. saturday night was not a fun time for mommy or daddy (or me for that matter) but i made it up to them by sleeping GREAT last night. daddy watched the hockey game yesterday (GO FLYERS!! even though my mommy makes me wear a stupid Caps shirt) and i figured he'd be a little dehydrated this morning:
as far as the YAY ME part......mommy and daddy got an awesome email from my teacher which basically talks about how awesome i am. here it is:
"Hi, Mom and Dad.
After we read on the computer she asks, "Now I need to tell Daddy (or Mommy)." If this is the reinforcer that keeps her coming back, it's all good.
Let me tell you, she is smoking this program. Today's lesson had 24 "pages", for lack of a better word. She sat through the whole thing. And it is getting much, much harder. She was to 22 and had only made 2 mistakes! Then she was incorrect selecting 23 and 24...but she sat through the whole thing! And didn't ask to leave! I am SO IMPRESSED!
If she keeps going with this enthusiasm I am going to jump ahead to some reading words. The biggest part of this specific visual discrimination section is that 1) she's looking and 2) she is seeing differences. The answer is YES to both!!! I will play it by ear. I can tell you for sure, she is WAY ahead of where I thought she would be nearing the end of kgtn! Please don't get into specifics with her about matching, looking, selecting, etc.....but please feel free to let her know you got her "notes" and what a good job she is doing. ;-)
I am SO proud of her."
i had a great week in west virginia visiting gaga and papa. i got my first big wheel. i found some eggs in the easter egg hunt and when i got back to virginia, i had ANOTHER basket from the easter bunny. it's been a long week, i'm happy to be back in school.
i even helped daddy cook (or at least pretended to):
